I visited the elementary school today and helped second graders read. It is great to see the kids improvement each time I visit. And, my son loves to see me there! Volunteer at your child's school- the impact of your efforts is rewarding for you personally and for the students!

    I was the car pool driver for Soccer this week, finally! Other Mom's helped me out for the last 6 weeks, and it was nice to finally volunteer to take my turn!

    I had the high school football team over for dinner the Wed. night before a game. It was a great way for the boys to bond and to interact with their coaches off of the field.

    I helped the high school wresting team with a breakfast fundraiser. They raised $2,000 serving breakfast to the community at the local Moose hall.

    We purchased a bag of groceries for the local food pantry in preparation for the holidays. Because of the economy, so many more families will be counting on the local food pantry for help this season. I am trying to make it a point to pick up a few things every two weeks.

    I am babysitting for a friend tonight so she can go out and enjoy herself. She has been very stressed lately and she is always serving others, so I thought this would be a nice break for her!
